A perfect seaside get away

Posted by Anthony Salmon on 10th February 2018 in Blogging |
A NIGHT AT A SHALDON BEACH HUT.  The perfect place for your seaside break. I visited Beach Hut No1 for the first time early January and knew then, that it was going to be a personal battle to leave again. My wife and I had both been to Shaldon in devon as children and were excited to return. Shaldon is the perfect location to really ‘get away’, tranquil and stunningly beautiful the small coastal village lived up to our fond memories. With super friendly and enthusiastic staff talking my partner and I through all important safety bits and kitting us with wetsuits and buoyancy aids so we were n...

View Shaldon from the skies  You might say we’re being a bit biased when we say this, but Shaldon is a particularly beautiful place of the UK! Shaldon is often described as a hidden gem, tucked away from a lot of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This unique charm makes it a perfect place to come on holiday for those looking for a quieter retreat. As a traditional fishing village, we are lucky to be surrounding by crystal blue waters, where a gentle stream of boats will make their way in and out of the estuary.  When the sun is shining, the village has never looked better, and that is exactly what can be seen in this drone footage we ha...

Rare bird spotted on Dartmoor

Posted by Monica Ducard on 18th May 2016 in Blogging |
Rare bird spotted on Dartmoor   A rare vulture has been spotted on Dartmoor, and it is the first time the bird has been seen in Britain. The bearded vulture, also known as a lammergeyer, lives on the marrow from animal bones. The bird, was reported to have been seen around the Avon Damn, and further north around the River Severn. It is thought that there are fewer than 10,000 pairs that exist in the wild, and is commonly found in high mountains in southern Europe, Africa and Tibet. The bird seen on Dartmoor looked to be a juvenile, as a full grown lammergeyer has a wingspan of more than 9.3ft (2.83m). Dale Kedward filmed the bird when out walking his d...
