Traditional British seaside holiday back in fashion The UK coastal areas are set to see an influx of holidaymakers heading to the regions this summer, as more Brits are planning to spend their summer holiday at a seaside location. According to the results of the research, 58% of the 3000 people surveyed stated they will be heading to the coast. Shaldon is the perfect location to really ‘get away’, tranquil and stunningly beautiful the small coastal village lived up to our fond memories. With weather as expected in January the Beach Hut No1 is still an ideal place to stay to just unwind in luxury, with estuary and beach views from the toasty confines of your hut. Our first morning in Shaldon consisted of wak...

A day of stand up paddle board rental with Teignmouth’s SeaSport Centre   If you are one for giving things a go, and love the outdoor lifestyle then renting a stand up paddleboard front SeaSports has got to be on your list of things to do whilst down here in devon. For myself this sounded fantastic, but I can promise even for the less active it is a really enjoyable and relaxing sport. So my adventure kicked off late morning (yes let’s not get carried away, I’m on holiday and needed a lie in). With super friendly and enthusiastic staff talking my partner and I through all important safety bits and kitting us with wetsuits and buoyancy aids so we were n...
