What a difference a day makes. This weeks storm washed this blue motor boat up high and dry on The Ness rocks. This is what was left of the boat 24 hours later. On my way home a small crabbing trawler was heading out to a very rough sea. Brave people....

Walkies with Hedley on a chilly November morning. The canal was frozen but the walk was lovely and a very festive Robin posed for the camera. The Ted Hughes Poetry Trail has been created at Stover Country Park to celebrate his poetry and long-standing links with Devon. Visitors to the Trail can read examples of Hughes’ finest poems relating to the natural world. A record turnout with fantastic costumes for the 2016 Annual Shaldon Boxing day 3 legged race around the village visiting all the drinking establishments ( soft drinks available) - organised by the Shaldon Water Carnival.A great day with fantastic weather.Locals and families staying in the Shaldon holiday lets loved it....

Fish Quay opens in teignmouth   A £1.1 million Fish Quay has opened in teignmouth, South Devon, that was built to help boost fishing, leisure and tourism industries in teignmouth and surrounding areas. Close to our Devon holiday cottages, the quay will be the great place for recreational fishing.
