Rare bird spotted on Dartmoor   A rare vulture has been spotted on Dartmoor, and it is the first time the bird has been seen in Britain. The bearded vulture, also known as a lammergeyer, lives on the marrow from animal bones. The bird, was reported to have been seen around the Avon Damn, and further north around the River Severn. It is thought that there are fewer than 10,000 pairs that exist in the wild, and is commonly found in high mountains in southern Europe, Africa and Tibet.
