Shaldon Zoo has welcomed two new cute monkeys Two new monkeys have arrived at Shaldon Zoo this month. The Douroucouli monkeys are called Dusk and Dawn, and have settled in well to their new home. Julie Matthews, who is the Education and Research Officer for Shaldon Wildlife Trust, said: “They have settled in very well here in a mixed exhibit with tree shrews and a mouse deer.” Douroucouli monkeys are the only nocturnal monkeys in the world, and have the nickname of the owl monkey or night monkey because of this, and also because of their disproportionately large brown eyes. Enjoy wine and mead from South Devon   Lyme Bay is a small West Country winery located in South Devon, in the stunning Axe Valley. Their stunning range wines, ciders, meads and more are an example of quality English beverages. The winery recently produced a new mead, ‘Yore’, made locally in Devon. ...  Two groups of migrants were spotted arriving on Shaldon beach last night. None had passports, but when questioned said they were seeking asylum from Trump. Temporary accommodation was set up in the Ferry Boat Inn garden. Villagers and visitors to the holiday homes in Shaldon were advised to be extra vigilant and lock up their horses....
