The Ness Cove Beach - Shaldon
Just a few minutes’ stroll for the main village of Shaldon, you will find the Ness Cove Beach accessible via the old smugglers tunnel. This beach is a well-kept secret due to its location, meaning it is often quiet and peaceful. With views up the coast, this beach is the ideal spot for a lovely dog walk, picnic and touch or relaxation. Dog friendly all year round with toilets, a café and gift shop nearby.
Putsborough Beach – Near Croyde
This stunning beach is located in North Devon, around an hour’s journey from Shaldon but well worth the day trip. In the summer months this beach is bustling with beach goers, local surfers and a great place to get you and your dog’s toes in the sand. During high season half of the beach is kept dog friendly meaning you will have lots of space to mooch up the beach. It has parking close by and a number of dog friendly and outside cafes.

In the village of Shaldon we are lucky enough to have our own personal puppy day spa. ‘Sticky Paws’ is a fabulous dog groomers right in the centre of the village and is well trusted by locals and returning visitors alike. So after all that fun on the beach, Sticky Paws Dog Groomers may be the perfect solution for cleaning up those mucky-pups.
