Super Moon in Shaldon

Last nights supermoon ( perigee syzygy ) was a full moon or a new moon that approximately coincides with the moon’s perigee, the distance that the Moon reaches to Earth in its elliptic orbit. It appears to be slightly bigger and brighter than normal. The furthest point in its orbit is called the apogee. The New Year skies will be brightened up by two appearances in January. The Old Moon or Wolf Moon on   January 1-2 and the Blue Moon on January 31.

The River Teign was still tricklling out when this was taken on December 4th. It looked like you could walk to Teignmouth.
