South Devon comedian Josh Widdicombe announces local tour date
Funnyman Josh Widdicombe has announced that he will be returning home to South Devon for a performance in Torquay this November.
Josh was born in London, but moved at an early age and attended South Dartmoor Community College, just a stone’s throw away from our holiday cottages in South Devon.
Since taking a break from stand up, Josh has been working on other ventures as well as finding minor things that annoy him, which he vocalises on stage.
Since he last toured, Josh has been busy, co-presenting the Channel 4 show The Last Leg with fellow comedians Adam Hills and Alex Brooker. The show has received critical acclaim, having been nominated for various awards including a British Comedy award, and also winning at the Royal Television Society Awards.
He has also penned a sitcom “Josh”, which aired on BBC3 and BBC1 late last year, which was well received. The sitcom is currently filming a second series which is due to air later this year.
Alongside all of this, Josh regularly makes appearances on television shows Mock the Week, QI, Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News For You. He is also the team captain on the new BBC2 panel show Insert Name Here.
If you are looking to go and see Josh for yourself, he will be performing at the Princess Theatre on the 5th November. Tickets are on general sale now, so act quickly before they get snapped up!
