Welcome to the picturesque village of Shaldon! Situated at the mouth of the River Teign, this quaint old village with its narrow streets and lovely village green provides a most attractive setting for your holiday. Among the many things to do and see are:-
- "1785 Day" from May until September on every Wednesday, the villagers dress in georgian costume and there are many special attractions on the village green, with free entertainment in the evenings.

- Enjoy the sandy estuary beach or go through the Smugglers tunnel to Nesscove Beach, a larger and sandy beach. With the completion of a multi-million pound South West Water "Clean Sweep" scheme, we can boast of some of the cleanest beaches in the South West.
- Take the passenger ferry to Teignmouth (a few minutes).
- Or, just potter about and enjoy the atmosphere of this charming village. There is a good selection of village shops, restaurants & pubs.
- For a change of scene, Torquay is about 8 miles, Exeter and Dartmoor National Park about 16 miles and many other delightful places are within easy reach.

About Teignmouth
Reputed to be one of Devon's oldest seaside resorts, with a long history of fishing and boat building, it boasts a long sandy beach, safe and ideal for families, as well as a fascinating harbour beach where there is always something to see and to do. From this beach, there are boat and fishing trips in abundance and the passenger ferry leaves for Shaldon on the other side of the estuary.
